Project focus- Self-Tinting Windows
Problem :
The problem to be addressed is the blindness caused by the sun’s glare. At sunset, due to this intense light, drivers are temporarily blinded and occasionally lose control over the car. Latest statistics report 36 killed in 12 months and more than 3000 accidents.
Solution :
Our solution for the problem is to have self-tinting windows. As the intensity of light differs throughout the day so does the glare. Therefore, the sunlight glare needed to be reduced varies. A sensor, installed inside the car, will detect the intensity of light and the windows will tint accordingly.
